What You'll Need to Bring
One of the most common mistakes most of us make when traveling anywhere is over packing.
Two weeks away from our homes make us want to put as much as we can into the largest suitcase and hope that it makes it to our destination - as you pack, think 'less is more'.
We recommend that you travel light to India, and bring just the basics:
-
Natural fibers like cotton and linen are ideal (think tropical)
-
Bring clothes that you wouldn't mind leaving behind
-
Bring 5-6 days worth of clothes, underwear, etc (Rajah Island has laundry service)
-
Bring a small day backpack for excursions into town
-
Sunblock & Mosquito repellant
-
Toothbrush & Toothpaste
-
Liquid soap

Rajah Ayurveda also sells their own brand of soaps and body care if you'd rather have the full Rajah Ayurveda experience!
Some of our participants have purchased a carry-on backpack from retailers like REI, and if they purchase goods in India, will purchase a second bag to be checked.
Please note that most airlines have an 8 kg (17.5 lbs.) limit for carry on baggage regardless of size and if it fits into the overhead compartment.
If you are planning on just bringing a backpack, be prepared to have it checked on your return flight home.
